Honesty notes
- Borders are approximate snapshots (54 years from 123,000 BC to 2010), not every year. Ancient borders are especially uncertain.
- Card text comes from Wikipedia. Rulers, capitals and coordinates come from Wikidata. Nothing is invented: if a fact isn't found, the card says "unknown".
- Capital pictures marked "AI illustration" are AI-generated impressions, not historical images.
- Archaeological site dates are rounded, approximate occupation ranges.
- Indigenous homeland markers show approximate locations, not borders.
- Map submissions go into a review queue. Nothing is published automatically.
